HWNT Houston offers in-person and virtual, educational seminars, and workshop-style events. Some are for HWNT members only, and others are open to the public.
Member Networking
We host Cafe con Leche events as a casual conversation with our members and the community. Members can come get to know us, and each other.
Latinas In Progress
The Hispanic Women’s Network of Texas aims to mentor senior high school Latinas throughout their senior year and college journey to equip them with the means to succeed in their personal and professional lives through scholarship opportunities and the Latinas in Progress (LIP) Education Series.
In Houston, we have expanded the program to 9-12 grade students, and offer a holistic approach. By educating our students in additional topics such as mindset, study skills, writing, and communication, in addition to college preparation and admissions processes, we can better prepare them for challenges they may face on their academic and personal journey.
Apply for 2024/2025!
LIP is a college and career readiness and personal development program offering a series of workshops for 9th-12th high school students.
