From our Chair

As a Hispanic in Houston, you know the challenges and obstacles that come with being a “minority”. What I ask that each of you remember and know, is the power of your voice and the strength of our community. We are all role models for our family and friends. As your organization, we will work hard to be the best resource for you, our community.
I want to inspire and challenge you to use your unique talents, strengths, and perspectives to make an impact. HWNT Houston is an organization brought back to life because we want to create positive change and see others do the same.
We want to know the real issues. Is there a challenge we can help with? We have members from diverse industries and areas of expertise across Houston. Reach out to us and we will connect you. Better yet, attend the next event and get to know each other personally.
Are you celebrating a win? Let us know so we can celebrate with you and applaud your efforts! One common theme among HWNT Chapters across TEXAS, is sisterhood.
Choose to make a change and join us.
We know it can sometimes feel like we are fighting an uphill battle – against discrimination, bias, and lack of opportunity. That’s why we need your help! We need to unite to be catalysts for change. With your voice and example, we can create a better future for ourselves, our children, and our community.
So don’t give up – keep fighting for what’s right, and let’s make Houston proud!
